i have a family member that receives $ 149 per month for two children and we all know that doesn’t cover gas per month. the father sells drugs and the officials knows about him.

Since he doesn’t probably report his drug earnings to the IRS, there isn’t much they can do.

They set the amount based on a 40 hour minimum wage job.

Normally both parents are required to fill out a sheet that shows there income and a judge basis the support amount on the percentage of income received by both parents…unfortunately if the father who deals drugs does not show a whole lot of legitimate earnings the judge has to base it on what he reports…it is not fair but that is how it happens.
