Question by JustMe: Have you ever been to Timberline Knolls?
I’d like to start off by saying that it really hard and scary and weird to come out and say “Things are not okay, I’m not okay, and I need help. I’ve had some problems for quite some time now and I’ve always believed you should do things you feel you should do even if it scares you. So that’s what I’m doing or trying to anyway. I’ve had problems with self harm, depression, anxiety, and eating disorder behavior. I think that I may have borderline personality disorder or something similar. I’ve done a lot of research lately, and I found this mental health medical facility that sounds like the kind of place I could really get help from and grow as a person. Have any of you been there? Do you think it would be a good place for someone like me? Is it expensive? Do you know if they take tricare insurance? It’d be a lot of help if I could get some answers please and thank you in advance.

Adolescents and teen girls are treated at Timberline Knoll.

There is also a residential treatment center for women “to help rediscover and harness her strengths in five core aspects of the self:”

Emotions, mind, body, social, and spirit.

They specialize in treatment for eating disorders, drug abuse, addiction, and other mental health problems that often occur with the above: trauma and PTSD, depression etc…which often lie at the root of relapse

It is expensive. They charge on a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week basis. It includes individual, family, and group therapies; all meals and lodging; clinical, educational, psychiatric, behavioral/milieu, nursing, and expressive therapeutic services.

Just found a quote of $ 995.00 dollars a day. I hope you have government insurance i.e. social security or Access.

They will check to see if your insurance will help pay. Financing options are available.

There are two types of brain tumors: primary brain tumors that originate in the brain and metastatic (secondary) brain tumors that originate from cancer cells that have migrated from other parts of the body.

Primary brain cancer rarely spreads beyond the central nervous system, and death results from uncontrolled tumor growth within the limited space of the skull. Metastatic brain cancer indicates advanced disease and has a poor prognosis.

Primary brain tumors can be cancerous or noncancerous. Both types take up space in the brain and may cause serious symptoms (e.g., vision or hearing loss) and complications (e.g., stroke).

All cancerous brain tumors are life threatening (malignant) because they have an aggressive and invasive nature. A noncancerous primary brain tumor is life threatening when it compromises vital structures (e.g., an artery).
